Just brilliant.
Loving the whole fashion look, that belt and cardigan thing is very 2007.

Snakeskin
Well I no longer need to tell you that Eamon has a great eye for spotting people on the street and a way of making them feel at ease when he takes their photo. would love to know what this guy's story is, it's not every day you see a snake in Brick Lane. Just don't look too closely into your curry.
Notting Hill, 5.30am
Another strong and yet soft portrait. The strong contrast, strong shadow, and obviously tired subject is portrayed very well, the photo has that sense of having been awake for too long.
Youth, huh.
Streets of London
Lovely fashion shoot on the streets of Soho. Apparently getting up super-early on a Sunday pays off. There's something very London about this shot.
day whatever
And at the other end of the scale, is this strong but soft carnival style self portrait. Despite the strong colours and strong fierce straight into camera look, there is a softness to the photo as well.
Prof. P
Complimenting the last photo very well is this beautiful low-light study in brown. Very well handled on a cheap plastic camera.
Jo
A wonderful study in grey tones in colour. A real vibrancy coming through from the layers of tone and texture.
She is looking at a book of photos by Jaques-Henri Lartigue, a French photographer who took photos for almost the entirety of his 80+ year life, through a large chunk of the 20th Century, witnessing major events taking place.

Strangers into Citizens
I met this family at the Strangers into Citizens rally in Trafalgar Square. It was absolutely pelting it down but so many people from all over the world came out for the rally.
Peopel from Algeria, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Nigeria, Colombia, etc, who all want to participate in British society - not as illegal immigrants but as citizens.
Happy people smiling
Great. This guy has character to the tops of his fingertips. Wonderful portrait, life on the streets of London.
super owl man
And speaking of Stratford, here is another of its residents. Great square shot, we've seen that owl before too.
Piccadilly Circus
Another one I took round Soho a week or two ago. I had a long chat with this guy, he is from Ghana and lives in Stratford.
For more examples of people I've asked to take their photo - http://www.flickr.com/photos/monkeymagic/sets/72157594305443219/
I'll also link to Eamon and Charlotte's sets, they are masters of the art.
A good hand
I had a pretty good time wandering round Soho a week or two ago at lunchtime, asking people to take their photo.
I have a pretty good hit rate, sometimes people say no, I do need to explain why I want their photo though. I usually say I'm doing this collaboration project and I take photos of people all over London.
I'd like to get more photos of people at work or older peopl, younge rpeople are quite often easy. usually people say yes, it's rare that people say no.

Grandfather
I really love this. The photographer's grandfather up the London Eye getting to grips with modern technology. Fabulous in every way.
Daddy M. Hungover.
"Do you have to take my photo, I've got a headache, I'll break your camera by pulling faces at you"
I think that's what he's saying anyway.
The Bridge Club
we've previously blogged one from the bridge club before (remember the lady's hands?) so here's another regular.

Ready for your close up
excellently weird portrait, taken with a Lomo fisheye camera. A fisheye lens is so wide it distorts the field of view - bending that which is straight and straightening the bent.
Which makes for excellently different portraits!
Mr. J
Great Holga portrait - a Holga is a cheap plastic toy camera, which takes out of focus blurry pictures, which kind of adds to the atmosphere.
Gardening
Fab photo from Paul - like a movie still, telling a story somehow. I want to know what happens next. Or what happened before, either really.
Julia shoot for 333 flyer
Great portrait set-up. Harshly lit, but with a pretty girl, that hardly matters.
not sure what that wire hanging out her nose is though.
granny
no idea whose granny she is, but everyone deserves a cool granny.
I anoint her the official 365 Londoners granny. Can we all adopt her?
