The zombies have also found Jesus himself... All those aiting for him to arise may be filled with dread and what has become of his body and soul.

Bride
The zombies from the Tate Modern crack attacked a wedding at St. Paul's. In the carnage that ensued, the bride and her bridesmaid, heads half gnawed off, were left to stumble down the steps, no memories left of the day that should have been.
"Alone With One's Thoughts"
And in homes near you, people claiming to be following the stock market are really following the latest salacious gossip. Definitely true.
Crack zombie
The innocent-looking crack at the Tate Modern has produced a freaky horrow show. Zombies are pouring out and ready to attack London. Watch out Londoners, they're coming tonight!

lovely day
I met these two lovely ladies on the way out of the Knitting and Stictching show at Ally Pally the other week. What a great day out!
photoshopping beauty 1
People don't realize quite how much photoshopping goes on in magazine images - that flawless skin, perfect hair and pristine white teeth is more often Photoshop than nature.
This is the description from the photographer abotu this photo - I sometimes feel like giving a lecture to girls my age, in which I show them what even I, an amateur, can do on photoshop. I don't mean any of that godawful hdr, I mean faux hyper-realism. The magazine 'realism'. We've all been told that they use photoshop in magazines, but I don't think most young female readers have any idea how much. This is my demonstration of how a normal girl, with imperfect skin, oily shine, bags under her eyes and smudgy make up, can turn herself into one of those velvet-skinned glossies in a matter of minutes. There are, of course, many many perfect-pored amazons out there, but it's nice to know the extent to which images lie, and that we can all be digital supermodels with a little software.

My new fave from the Street Studio session from Brick Lane a few weeks ago. What beautiful skin, and perfectly balanced tones and colours in this photo. Casual yet sexy.
Lord Puttnam addresses the Virtual Worlds Forum
I had a very interesting week, learning all about Virtual Worlds - such as Second Life and World of Warcraft - which I had no idea about before. I was the photographer at the event and the rest of the photos can be seen at the flickr account.
Interesting people, into gaming and virtual worlds, and interesting speakers. Many big corporates such as Diageo, IBM, BP and Heineken talking about what virtual worlds andthe 3D internet mean to them.

Passing through
Borough market, this shot captures the spirit very well. Looks like a market but is really expensive. Great for a browse though, and great London light, perfect for portraits.
Student Life
Great sense of uniformity and anonymity of student dorms. owever, bags of personality from the girl in the middle. Lovely balance.
Let there be Rock ...
OK so maybe he's Australian but he looks like he could belong. Fantastic concert shot of veteran rockers AC/DC.

Gran
Not sure what's scarier, the dog picture in the background or the scarry granny. Hope she's got her teeth in.
People On Horses (frontside)
From Alex Sedano (the photographer) - "August-September 2007-Flyer/Poster for a monthly London nightclub.
Art Direction: Alex Sedano - Photography: Billa
This work has been selected by Thames & Hudson for a new art book copilation on flyer art called "Mine, Night Time The New Art of the Club Flyer". Out on Oct 2008."
London. Fantastic.
Cargo
Strong - fantastic flash-lit indoor portrait from Eamon the kind of street. Direct lighting adds to the strength and drama of the folded arms.

Street Studio
This guy listened for long enough to pose.
The street studio is a fantsatic series - I suggest checking out all of them - http://www.flickr.com/groups/streetstudio
If nothing else, it's a capsule shot of London on one late autumn weekend afternoon in 2007. Like a time capsule.
Street Studio
Maybe there's some truth that film is warmer.
In other news, this guy's been raiding my grandfather's cupboard, I'm sure he's got that hat.

this series is a great example of the difference between digital and film.
there's a lot of nonsense said about digital being "less warm" and "less personal" but these portraits from Charlotte are great and full of life.
These are shot on a Nikon D200 with a 50mm lens too.
Street Studio
The idea was to have everyone framed in the same way - they stuck up a piece of fabric on the brick wall so the focus was on the people not the surroundings.
They also marked an X on the floor with masking tape so that people knew where to stand.
The interesting thing then is, not only the different faces but lso a comparison of the photographic media. In this case, a Leica, 50mm lens and Fuji Reala film.
Street Studio
A couple of weeks ago I met up with Eamon and Charlotte who had set up a "Street Studio" on Brick Lane to take people's photos.
Brick Lane is a great spot, mainly pedestrians and lots of people out to "be seen" and therefore happy to have their photos taken.
However, I don't think Eamon or Charlotte were ready for just how many photos they would take - close to 400 for the day.
